A little about our Surrey, BC location

We recently opened a second office based in the Panorama neighbourhood of Surrey, BC.  This has been a super exciting, and at times overwhelming, adventure.  You never know how a new space is actually going to feel until you get in there.  And at the same time, we have had a few questions asked about this decision that I thought it might be good to take some time and answer them here and give you a little information about our Surrey location.

Your business name is Panorama, and the new neighbourhood is Panorama.  Did you always plan to be working there?

When I started Panorama Wellness Group, I chose the name because the definition of panorama is “an unbroken view of the whole region surrounding an observer.”  Given that I wanted our team to work from a holistic perspective, I thought that this word described our approach really well.  I also believe that it’s important for all of our therapists to have this perspective in the work they do with you as a client.  Having our therapists keep a wide perspective, see what’s ahead, and help guide you is one of the most reassuring things that they can provide you with.

And, to be honest, I have always had a vision of having a second location, and hoped that it would be closer to where I live, so the fact that the name fits with the Surrey/Sullivan Crossing/Panorama/Rodeo Drive In neighbourhood is a huge bonus.

Will you be offering the same services at both your Langley and Surrey locations?

Yes!  Our mission statement is “To provide a trauma-informed environment where clients and therapists receive support, care and connection.”  It is important to me that all of our therapists and clients as much of the same experience as possible whether they are working in Langley or Surrey.  When you sit in the waiting room of our Surrey location, you will hear music playing in the background, have beverage options, and can grab a mint just like you can in Langley.  We have also kept with the same colour scheme and goal to make you as comfortable as possible as quickly as possible.

The only difference is that our Surrey office is smaller, and there is not a space for a Practice Coordinator there.  So we don’t have someone to greet you as you come through the door.  But if you call our number, there is still the great, responsive customer service that we take pride in!

Where is your Surrey office located?  How do I find you?

Great question!  As I write this blog, there is some pretty serious construction happening all over the Lower Mainland, including 54A Avenue.  The quickest description is to tell you that we are located in the neighbourhood of 152 Street and Highway 10.

You can find us on Google Maps and a practical way of giving you instructions is:

From Highway 10, go south on 152 street

Take the first left (East) at 54A Avenue (set of lights)

Go past 15288 54A Avenue

Turn right into the parking lot, and our office is straight ahead at 15300 54A Avenue.

Park to the left of the building in the Visitor spot, and come into the office.  We are unit #100.

Make yourself comfortable.

Who will be working out of the office in Surrey, BC?

Great question!  We are planning to build out our team so that we have the same type of complement as we do in Langley.  Once the Fall and Winter come, we will be adding therapists who serve children, teens, couples, individuals and families.

At the time of this writing, there are four of us who work for Panorama Wellness that see clients in Surrey. We also have some subleasors working out of this office.

Hannah Adam – works solely out of the Surrey office.  Hannah has two areas that she excels in.  Hannah works with individuals (and those who support them) who are navigating a reliance on substances.  She also loves working with seniors as they go through transitions and life situations that are unique to that age group.  You can learn more about her here.

Mandy Purewal – provides services in both Surrey and Langley.  Mandy works with a variety of mental health concerns and also has a particular interest and skill in helping people who are navigating grief and loss in their life.  She also enjoys working with couples and helping them navigate their relationships.  You can learn more about her here.

Mridul Jagota – works out of both our Murrayville and Sullivan area offices.  Mridul has a skill and interest in helping people navigate and build family relationships.  She is also going to be taking training to help couples.  You can learn more about her here.

Lisa Catallo – me!  I work out of both our Surrey and Langley offices.  I specialize in helping women and couples recover from traumatic experiences.  You can learn more about me here.

Fun facts about our Surrey office:

  1. It is only 30 minutes from our Langley office at high traffic times.

  2. It was created to be an office for counsellors before we got access to it, and has excellent sound proofing.

  3. There is a boardroom available to us, and we are looking forward to using that for peer consultations and offering groups for clients.

  4. It is located in an industrial park with great restaurants, Shoppers Drug Mart, Starbucks and banks within walking distance so that you can get a few errands done before or after your session.

I hope that this answers some of the questions that you might have about our new location in Surrey, BC.  We are looking forward to growing our team and serving the residents of Cloverdale, South Surrey, White Rock, North Delta and Surrey out of this central location.  Let me know if you have any other questions!
