You feel like you’re alone drowning in thoughts and comparisons, and nobody can help. Stepping out of your comfort zone and seeking the right counsellor to tackle these feelings is not an easy process, but a necessary one. I hope to be that support person, providing insight, knowledge, compassion and strategies as you move towards a fuller life. I am a true believer that everyone can heal, and I want to help get you there. I also enjoy working with couples as we navigate building communication skills and conflict resolution so that you can feel more connected and able to move forward together.
We are all unique, so I make sure that each and every person I work with gets an individually tailored approach. I strive to listen and understand every aspect of you and your life and work with you, as a team, to identify the path to healing. I utilize various theories and techniques suited to you which may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), all within a trauma informed practice.
In 2016, I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Business administration. At the time, I had set a goal in becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. However, my heart was always in helping individuals overcome their life’s struggles and creating meaningful connections. I graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Subsequently, I obtained my Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

The most important thing to remember about me is just like many of you, I have gone through my share of pain and struggle. I have dealt with loss, relationship challenges, dramatic life changes, anxiety and even depression. It wasn’t until I sat opposite of my own counsellor that I realized the power of seeking support and being seen and feeling heard. I am a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a student, a friend, a business owner, a colleague, a patient, and a learner. With many of these titles comes great responsibility and great challenges. We all have challenges, and we all have pain and although these experiences can help us grow and appreciate our courage, in order to heal, we require the support and comfort of others.
The most significant of reasons why I picked this profession was because of my desire to create meaningful connections with people around me. From a young age, I recognized that connection and mental and physical wellness were values very close to me. This profession not only allows me to create deep and real connections with my clients but allows both myself and my clients to keep ourselves accountable in creating healthier habits
Outside of my profession, I am a lover of the outdoors. There is nothing I love more than spending meaningful time with my family and friends. You can often find me at the gym, out for a walk with a loved one, shopping on the weekends and trying new restaurants around town. Over the next year, I am looking forward to travelling again and making up for lost time during the pandemic.
