Owner & Executive Director

I have been doing this work for over a decade, and the thing that has not changed is what drew me to it in the first place: I am genuinely curious about people. About what shaped them, what they are carrying, and what becomes possible when they finally have the space to look at it honestly and start to have a voice.

I work primarily with women and couples. Women who are navigating trauma from relationships, from their past, from the quiet accumulation of experiences that have never fully been processed. And couples who want to do more than manage their conflict…they want to actually understand each other and build something real.

My approach is integrative, which means I do not have one method I apply to everyone. I draw from EMDR for trauma processing, Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy for couples work, and attachment and somatic-informed approaches for individual therapy. What that looks like in practice is that I pay attention to you, what you need, what is actually going on underneath the surface, and what approach is most likely to help you move forward and reach the goals you have for therapy and your life.

I am direct. I will not just reflect your words back at you or nod along while you talk in circles. I will challenge you when it is useful, name what I am noticing, and help you think through things you might not be able to think through on your own. That is what I would want from a therapist, and it is what I try to offer.

I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology and am registered as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#15185) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (#10001037) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and a Canadian Certified Supervisor with CCPA.

My clinical training is specifically in trauma and couples work, and includes:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Levels 1 and 2

  • Relational Life Therapy, Level 1

  • Treating Affairs and Trauma (NICABM)

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Observed and Experiential Integration Therapy (OEI), Level 2

  • Sex Therapy for Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse

A significant part of my clinical work has been with women who have experienced abuse — in childhood or in relationship — and with couples recovering from infidelity. That specificity is intentional. These are not areas I drifted into. They are areas I sought out, trained in, and continue to build on.

Clinical Supervision

I also offer clinical supervision for therapists. If you are a developing therapist looking for a supervisor who takes the person of the therapist seriously not just your case notes I would be glad to connect.

A bit about me outside the office

I have four adult kids, 3 grandchildren and a teenager still at home keeping me busy with rides and all the things that come with that season of life. I have a bit of an obsession with Libby and crime novels. When I actually have time to myself, I cook. It is one of the few places where I feel genuinely creative, and I find it grounding in a way that is hard to explain but easy to experience.

I am also someone who has done my own work. I know what it is like to sit in the other chair, and I think that matters.
