Community Connections - Fort Sport & Family Physio

At Panorama Wellness Group, it is important to us that we connect with other like-minded businesses and therapists in the Langley area so that we can provide quality referrals to our clients.

One of the areas that we want to be connected in, is how to help you recover from physical injuries.  We have an Occupational Therapist (Caitlin) and a Counsellor (Serena) whose specialities surround helping you recover from brain injuries and concussions.  So one of the businesses that Caitlin and I connected with recently was Fort Sport & Family Physio.

When you reach out to make new connections, you never know what you’re going to get...it’s kind of like going on a bunch of blind dates in that way.  We were very pleasantly surprised to hear about the approach that Robbie de Fleuriot and his team are taking at Fort Physio.

As trauma-informed therapists, it was music to our ears to hear that Robbie has been reading “The Body Keeps the Score”, and that his team starts their treatment by being curious about what your past experience with your body has looked like.

Another thing that stood out to me from our conversation was that treatment at Fort Physio happens in an open concept setting.  Robbie talked about how pain and the aftermath of an injury are already so isolating, that his team wants to help you know that you aren’t alone, and that starts with how and where you get your treatment.

The other part that fits well with us at Panorama Wellness Group is how Fort Physio is operating from a person-centred approach to therapy.  That means that they aren’t just focused on healing your specific injury, but rather understanding how the pain and injury are affecting the rests of your body and life.  This approach means that you can experience holistic healing and find a new way to operate in your life.

If you are looking for a Physiotherapist, RMT or Kinesiologist who doesn’t just treat you like a number or just another patient, you are going to want to check out Fort Sport & Family Physio in Fort Langley.  I know we’re looking forward to getting to know them better and utilizing their services.
