‘What is Anxiety?’ Workshop

In this online workshop, we explore the question “What is anxiety?” What does it look like and how can you learn to manage it rather than trying to control it?

The scariest part of anxiety is the unknown. You may not know that what you’re experiencing is anxiety all the time, or perhaps you’re unsure of what’s causing or worsening your anxiousness. Join us for a series of seven practical workshops to help you understand and manage your anxiety.

We want to help you learn more about anxiety with specific topics such as:

  • What is anxiety?

  • The “high functioning” anxiety myth

  • How to use mindfulness with anxiety

  • Strategies and tools to manage your anxiety

This workshop is designed to equip you with general knowledge, as well as to help you be curious about your experiences of anxiety.  

Some things you will take away from this workshop:

  • What symptoms tend to show up when people are anxious.

  • Strategies that help you get quality sleep

  • A sense of clarity of the kind of changes you want to make in your life right now to help you manage your anxiety

  • Activities or routines that nurture your mental health or adapting your coping strategies to become more helpful and targeted for your unique situation. 

‘Self-Care Toolkit’ Workshop

Having an effective self-care toolkit helps you to navigate through anxiety with greater ease, and feel more prepared for anxiety-producing situations. This virtual course reviews strategies for anxiety prevention and response, teaches several techniques.

Developing a Self-Care Toolkit helps you manage anxiety when it arises. Anxiety serves a purpose, so it’s not something that we want to “get rid of”, but rather to help you find ways to manage the alarm bells going off within you. Building on the free introductory course, “What is Anxiety”, Serena Graf knows that we need practical tools to do this.

In this course you will learn:

  • Practical emotional, mental and physical tools to help you manage anxiety

  • Understand the science behind the tools presented to you

  • A variety of ways of practicing self-care that don’t fit for different situations in your life - when you can be quiet, when you are surrounded by others, ways to help yourself in the middle of a work day and on the weekend
