Do you feel burdened by the difficulties and struggles in your life? I believe you are the expert of your own experience and together we can explore emotions and narratives to bring about lasting change. I view therapy as a collaborative experience between us, one where there can be meaningful, honest, and even playful conversations.
I am a non-judgmental, respectful, caring, and authentic therapist who focuses on your goals and believes in creating safety in therapy. I am comfortable being with individuals who are uncomfortable and seeking relief from distress. In our work, I help you find and express your hopes and desires, and together we explore how to navigate struggles within yourself and impacts with others.
I believe in empowering and validating you in your experience, to help you achieve your potential, reach your goals, and discover or re-encounter your authentic self. I collaborate with you to cultivate and create healthy relationships outside of therapy, not just with others, but with yourself, creating space for change and choice.
If you choose to work with me, you can expect gentle conversations to help discover who you are and what you want in order to gain a greater sense of meaning in your relationships and life.
I believe in play’s healing power and the ability of creative play to access children’s growth and knowledge and to facilitate development. Children are innately growth-oriented who reach their potential when we make room and help to remove barriers. I help children and their family become more secure in their relationships with others and with themselves. I join together with family members to help initiate and create reparative experiences, to heal hurts and start to create new family interactions. This allows for the family to turn towards each other for care and support and to be met in their need. I encourage and make space for children to cultivate their agency, autonomy, and self-expression.
I approach therapy from a trauma-informed lens. I graduated with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and my RCC credentialling with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors is in process.
