Therapy for Women in Surrey, BC

Therapy for women in Surrey, BC who are tired, stretched thin, and ready to figure out who they are outside of everyone else's needs

"I'm tired of doing everything for everyone. I want to figure out who I am."

If that landed somewhere in your chest when you read it, you're in the right place.

You have spent a long time being the person who keeps things running. The one who shows up, holds it together, anticipates what everyone needs before they even ask. And for a long time, that felt like enough — maybe even fulfilling.

But something has shifted. The kids are getting older, or leaving. The relationship feels thin. The things that used to give you energy don't seem to anymore. And underneath the busyness, there's a question you keep circling back to:

Who am I when I'm not taking care of everyone else?

That question deserves a real answer. And it deserves more than ten sessions and a referral to talk to your Naturopath.

You Might Be Here Because

You're navigating a major transition - an empty nest, a marriage that needs attention, a career shift, a health scare, a relationship that has run its course

You're grieving the loss of something which could be a person, a version of your life, a relationship with your mother or sister that has never been what you needed it to be

Old patterns or past experiences are showing up in ways you can't ignore anymore and are showing up as anxiety, resentment, the sense that you react to things before you can think

‍ ‍You're burnt out and your body is telling you what your mind keeps trying to override

‍ ‍You don't want to leave your marriage, but you're not happy and you want to make decisions from a clear head, not from a place of overwhelm

‍ ‍You've had counselling before. It helped, but it was short-term and not really a great fit (if you’re honest it makes you a bit nervous to try again). You're ready for something with more depth and consistency

What you're looking for

You've been clear with yourself about this, even if you haven't said it out loud yet. You don't just want to vent to someone who nods. You want to be challenged and have someone talk with you…not at you. You want to think things through with someone who is honest with you, helps you see what you can't see on your own, and actually helps you move.

You see this as an investment in yourself, in your relationships, in the next chapter of your life. And you want to be able to come back when the next hard thing arrives, not start over from scratch with someone new.

What Working with Me Looks Like

I work with women who are in the middle of something — not necessarily a crisis, but a significant chapter that deserves real attention.

My approach is integrative, which means I draw from a range of evidence-based methods and pay attention to what you actually need. We will work at a pace that suits you, go as deep as is useful, and focus on building the kind of insight and tools that stay with you.

I am not here to keep you in therapy longer than you need. I am here to help you get somewhere real.

Some of what we might work with: anxiety and overthinking, burnout and resentment, family relationships and patterns you've inherited, grief and identity, the relationship between your past and your present.

You don't have to keep carrying this alone.

If you've read this far and something has resonated, I'd love to hear from you. The first step is a free 15-minute consultation — a chance to talk about what's going on and whether I'm the right fit.

I offer in-person therapy for women in Surrey, BC and online sessions throughout British Columbia.
